About EquiShowcase
EquiShowcase is an equine sales marketplace currently preparing for launch. This notice explains how we handle personal information provided through our pre-launch website.

Information we collect during pre-launch
We only collect information you choose to give us through this Coming Soon website, together with limited technical information created automatically when you visit.

- Telephone number (optional)
- Seller type (Private Seller or Equine Business)
Technical information
Our hosting, database and security infrastructure may process standard technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, and server or security logs. We do not use this information to build marketing profiles.
Why we use personal information
- To send the EquiShowcase launch notifications you asked for
- To respond to seller-interest registrations
- To contact prospective sellers about the opening of listings
- To respond to enquiries sent to us
- To operate and secure the website
- To prevent misuse or fraudulent activity
- To meet applicable legal obligations
We do not sell personal information.
Lawful basis
- Launch notifications: your consent, given when you submit your email address to the launch list. We record the wording shown and the time you agreed.
- Seller interest: steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in preparing the marketplace with early sellers. You ask us to contact you about selling on EquiShowcase, and we use your details only for that purpose.
- Website security and administration: our legitimate interest in keeping the website available, secure and free from misuse, and compliance with legal obligations where these apply.
Marketing and launch communications
Giving us your email address for launch notifications means you are asking to receive EquiShowcase launch updates. We do not add you to unrelated ongoing marketing, and registering seller interest does not subscribe you to general marketing.
You can withdraw your consent or unsubscribe at any time by emailing hello@equishowcase.ie. Any marketing emails we send will also include an unsubscribe method.
Sharing information
We do not sell personal information. It may be processed on our behalf by the service providers needed to run the website, including hosting, database, email and security providers. These providers act on our instructions.
Our database and file storage for this project are hosted in an EU region (Ireland). Some service providers may process limited information outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as European Commission adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
Data retention
Pre-launch information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected for, and for any applicable legal or security requirements. After launch we will review launch-list and seller-interest records and delete information that is no longer needed. You can ask us to delete your details sooner.
Your rights
Under GDPR and Irish data-protection law you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Have inaccurate information corrected
- Have your information erased
- Restrict how we use your information
- Data portability, where applicable
- Object to processing, where applicable
- Withdraw consent where our processing relies on consent
Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before you withdrew it. To make a request, email hello@equishowcase.ie.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission, www.dataprotection.ie.

We may update this notice as EquiShowcase develops. The latest version will always be published on this website.
